This privacy policy applies to all users of the Unjumble marketplace, including freelancers (sellers) and buyers who access or use our website or app in Australia.
This privacy policy should be read together with our Platform Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Unjumble platform.
We take our privacy obligations seriously and we’ve created this privacy policy to explain how we store, maintain, use and disclose personal information.

2.0 TYPES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

- business name, ABN and business category (for buyers);
- country and street address (where provided);
- profile information for freelancers, including profile picture, a description of the services they provide, their languages, and their skill and service areas;
- information about work history and portfolio, including images, categories of work and descriptions of work performed;
- login details and account information, including where you choose to sign up or log in using a third party account (such as Google or other sign-in options we may offer from time to time);
- ratings, reviews and feedback that you provide or receive on the platform;
- payment and billing information that you provide to our third party payment provider (currently Stripe), such as bank account or card details, billing address and transaction details;
- device information and technical data, including your device identity and type, IP address, geo-location data, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, referral URL, ad data, and standard web log information;
- information you provide to us in forms, surveys, questionnaires, promotions, referral programs or waitlists;
- information about your interactions with us, including via email, chat, messaging or other communications on or in connection with the platform;
- information about memberships of professional, trade or business associations (for example, where you sign up via a partner such as a State Chamber of Commerce or Business NSW);
- information about your business or personal circumstances;
- information in connection with customer surveys, questionnaires and promotions;
- project briefs, messages and other content you submit through the platform’s private messaging or chat functions;
- information about third parties; and
- any other information provided by you to us via our website, app, social media or online presence, or otherwise required by us or provided by you.
We also collect the content of messages and other communications exchanged via our chat and messaging functions on the platform. As users control what to share in these communications, they may sometimes include sensitive information (for example, details about professional memberships, union membership, criminal history, or other information you choose to disclose).
3.0 PERSONAL INFORMATION OF MINORS
We do not intentionally target or direct the platform to individuals under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you should only use the platform with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information about an individual under the age of 18 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information or obtain consent from a parent or guardian.
4.0 HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

use the platform as a freelancer (seller) or buyer, including when you create or update your profile, post or purchase services, or otherwise use features of the platform;
submit any of our online forms, referral forms, waitlists, promotions or surveys;
communicate with us or other users via email, telephone, SMS, social media applications (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Meta platforms, TikTok or Reddit), chat, messaging, video or audio calls, or other communication tools available through the platform;
interact with our website, app, social media pages, services, content and advertising; and
when we receive personal information about you from third parties, such as our partners (for example, Business NSW or chambers of commerce), referral programs, or email marketing platforms (for example, Mailchimp).

We may also collect personal information from you when you use or access our website or our social media pages. This may be done through use of web analytics tools, ‘cookies’ or other similar tracking technologies that allow us to track and analyse your website usage. Cookies are small files that store information on your computer, mobile phone or other device and enable and allow the creator of the cookie to identify when you visit different websites. to operate, administer and provide the platform to you, including to connect freelancers (sellers) and buyers, and to facilitate the posting, purchase and delivery of services;
to personalise and optimise your experience on the platform, including by recommending services and content that may be more relevant to you;
to manage your account and profile, process transactions and facilitate payments (via our third party payment provider, Stripe);
to provide customer support and to respond to your enquiries, feedback or complaints;
to monitor, analyse, maintain and improve the platform, our services and our business, including testing and developing new features and services;
to manage and administer referral programs, promotions, surveys, waitlists and other marketing or growth initiatives;
to send you marketing and promotional messages and other information that may be of interest to you, including emails (such as EDMs), SMS and advertising on our own or third party platforms, in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can opt out of receiving marketing materials from us by using the opt-out facility provided (for example, an unsubscribe link);

where you choose to disclose information about your membership of a trade union or your criminal history, for example in your profile, portfolio, communications with us or via chat and messaging on the platform; and
where you choose to include other types of sensitive information in content you upload or communications you send via the platform (including via chat and messaging).
We may receive limited sensitive information about you from third parties such as our partners (for example, Business NSW), where this is necessary to provide the platform or to administer partnership programs.
We use sensitive information only for the purposes for which it was collected or as otherwise permitted by law, including to:
operate and improve the platform and our services, including tagging businesses with relevant industry bodies or associations for targeting or tailoring content and marketing; and
comply with our legal obligations and manage risks.
We do not generally disclose your sensitive information to third parties, except:
to our service providers who assist us to operate the platform and who are subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy obligations; or
where you have clearly chosen to make the information public (for example, by including it in a public profile or listing), or where you have otherwise consented to the disclosure, or we are required or authorised by law to do so.
If you do not want us to collect or use sensitive information about you, please do not include it in your profile, portfolio, chat messages or other content you provide on the platform.

We may use automated systems and algorithms to help operate and improve the platform, including to recommend services or freelancers that may be more relevant to you and to detect fraud, spam or other harmful activity. These processes may involve the use of personal information to evaluate aspects about your use of the platform. If we introduce automated decision-making that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect your rights or interests, we will update this privacy policy accordingly. We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is secure and protected from misuse or unauthorised access.
